Women in Science – 3rd Erlangen Symposium

We are thrilled to announce the call of registration for the Women in Science Symposium-3rd Erlangen Symposium<https://www.w4w.nat.fau.eu/women-in-science-3rd-erlangen-symposium/> that is scheduled for July 22-24, 2024 and it is set to take place at the C1 lecture hall of Chemikum.

The Women in Science-3rd Erlangen Symposium is designed to be a platform for female scientists from all over the world. Besides its primary mission to tackle gender gap and inequality by fostering conversations among all researchers, the symposium connects top-notch researchers, experts and professionals in order to share their research findings, as well as their advice on how to be successful in academia and/or industry. In last year's symposium<https://www.w4w.nat.fau.eu/womeninscience_2nd-erlangen-symposium/>, we hosted distinguished scientists from diverse fields of research, including organic and inorganic chemistry, or more specialized hot topics as photochemistry, catalysis and organic/hybrid electronics, and allocated dedicated time for addressing gender inequalities, with a special emphasis on work-life balance. This initiative would not be possible without the funding, boost and support from the DFG through the research consortia for promoting equality F3G<https://www.familienservice.fau.eu/f%c2%b3g-network/about/>, participating initiatives can be found here<https://www.w4w.nat.fau.eu/funding-support-2/>.

Although our main focus is women in science, the symposium is open to everyone regardless of gender or status and no registration fee is required for participation. Therefore, we believe that this event will serve as a unique opportunity to inspire and empower all young scientists.
